I3 Forum: Innovative Technology Contest for Students of Engineering Colleges
Jointly Organized by NRDC and Center for Emerging Technologies, Jain University, Bengaluru
National Research Development Corporation invites proposals for a competition par excellence that is easily an Innovative Technology Contest for students of Engineering Colleges, as a part of Innovate India 2010 a Conference on “Leveraging Innovation for Value Creation” during 11th & 12th November 2010 at National Science Seminar Complex, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
The programme is a great opportunity for students of Engineering Colleges to showcase their novel and innovative ideas and projects in the emerging vistas of science and technology.
Objective
To encourage students of engineering colleges to develop innovative technologies.
The Details of the Competition:
Team Size
Minimum : 2 Members
Maximum: 6 Members
Composition
· Students group preferably with a faculty advisor
· Maximum of three teams per institution
· Entries to be sent by the Head of the institution
· Entries to be sent by soft and hard copy
Selection Criteria and Time Lines
Last date for submission of abstract and official entries : 22nd September 2010
Scrutiny, Selection and Intimation to the teams : 1st October 2010
First Technical Presentation and demonstration
Of the technology at the Jain Global Campus,
Bengaluru : 26-28 October 2010
Final Presentation and demonstration of selected
Technologies at “INNOVATE INDIA 2010”
at NSS Complex IISc, Bengaluru : 11th & 12th Nov 2010
Rewards of the Competition:
First Prize : Rs. 75,000/-
Second Prize : Rs. 50,000/-
Third Prize : Rs. 25,000/-
Consolation Prizes (2 Nos) : Rs. 10,000/- (each)
Guidelines for preparing the Project Proposal are given below.

Guidelines
a). The Project should be original, need-based and novel.
b). There should be a distinct aspect of innovation or filling up technology gap
c). Entries to be sent by the Head of the Institution
d). The working model and demonstration of the selected technologies will be permitted for display during “INNOVATE INDIA 2010” on 11th & 12th November 2010 at National Science Seminar Complex, IISc, Bengaluru.
e). Multi-disciplinary technical demonstrations are encouraged.
