The conference on "Leveraging Innovation for Knowledge Economy" will address some of the existing challenges, resolve to identify problems and arrive at appropriate solutions for organizational development/human resources.
This conference will also deal with vital issues such as green innovations, low income markets and social innovations, developing products and services, and above all developing relationships with the innovation systems in the country.

Original research-based papers on the conference theme are invited. Papers will be selected for publication in the conference souvenir after review. Participants are advised to submit their papers in the prescribed format as stated under "Guidelines for papers" (available at www.innovate-india.in).

Invitation for Poster Presentations [top]
The Poster Sessions will provide an excellent opportunity for presentation of R&D findings and are expected to lead to direct interaction with the Delegates. Poster presented on the conference theme is welcome.
Posters will be selected for display after review.
Posters should be preferably sent in the following format:

I3 Forum [top]
I3 Forum revolves on ideas, innovations and incubation. There will be interactive parallel sessions relating to the following two selected programmes :
• Gender Programme - There will be competition among the prospective women entrepreneurs for framing and presenting business plan of their project. A Prize and Merit Certificate will be awarded to the winner and the runner-up, based on the recommendation of the Expert Panel.
• Rural Technology - NGOs and the agencies involved in rural development are invited to submit their project on rural technology, food processing etc for the consideration of project support up to Rs. 1.00 lac, which will be adjudicated by an Expert Panel.
The proposals will be presented by the registrants, be it individual or start-up company or NGO, and the decision to support such proposals will be taken on the spot by an Expert Panel.
• Innovative Technology Contest: for Students of Engineering Colleges (Jointly Organized by NRDC and Center for Emerging Technologies, Jain University, Bengaluru)
The Theme and Focus of this Contest are to demonstrate innovative technologies that can help in solving scientific and technical challenges. The programme is a great opportunity for students of Engineering Colleges to showcase their novel and innovative ideas and projects in the emerging vistas of science and technology such as Avionics, Autonomous and Intelligent systems, Biometrics, Brain-Machine- Interface, Cryptography, Data Mining, Disaster Management, Embedded Systems, Energy, Fuel Cells, Haeptics, Medical Electronics, Microelectronics, MEMS, Mechatronics, New Materials, Neural Networks, Photonics, Pollution Control, Rapid Prototyping, Robotics, Space Sciences, Technologies for rural development, Traffic Management, Vision Systems, Water Harvesting, and other newer technologies.

Camera-Ready Manuscript
This short paper provides all necessary information and instructions for the author(s) for preparation of camera-ready manuscripts.

I Introduction (Section Title – 12pt bold) [top]
The submitted manuscripts will be published in the Souvenir of Innovate India – “Leveraging Innovation for Knowledge Economy” as arrived without any editorial changes and corrections. Therefore, the author(s) should make every effort to prepare their papers in a camera-ready form for offset printing. (Body Text – 12pt normal)
II. Paper Layout [top]
The paper must be at least of four pages and in any case not more than 15 pages, including all figures, illustrations, tables and references. The paper format is 210 x 297 mm (A4). Use margins: top and bottom 2,54 (1 inch), left and right 3,17 cm (1,25 inches). The recommended font type is Arial or similar. The paper should be printed on a laser printer with a resolution of 600 DPI or better. The paper will be slightly reduced on printing. Therefore, make sure that all labels and text information contained in the figures is at least 10 points in font size. Please, print the text on one side of the sheet of paper only. Do not number pages with typewriter. Number the pages using a soft pencil on the reverse side of the sheets. Do not use business letterhead.
The paper can be submitted also in electronic format or CD to the Conference organizers.

A. Figures (Subsection Title – 12pt italic) [top]
Do not place any figures, other illustrations, and tables on separate sheets of paper. All figures must be placed appropriate in text of the manuscript. As only black-and-white illustrations can be reproduced, please use either computer printed figures or technical drawings (graphs, plots, etc.) made in black (Indian) ink pasted onto appropriate places in the text. Photographs must be in black and white glossy/ colour adequate for direct reproduction. East table, diagram, illustration of figure should have corresponding number, title and reference to the text.
B. Tables [top]
Similarly to figures, tables should be positioned on an appropriate place in the text. The recommended font size is 12pt. For large text, the minimum text size of 10pt can be used. The tables should be numbered consecutively in roman numbers.
C. Mathematical Formula [top]
Mathematical formula should be centered on line and numbered consecutively on the right margin.
D. Titles of Main Passages [top]
These should be typed in capital letters, bold from the beginning of the left margin. All the titles should be separated from the previous text by one blank row except for the first passage separated from the title two blank rows.
E. Passage titles of the second order [top]
These should be typed in bold, small letters from the beginning of the left margin. Passage titles longer than one row should be avoided.
III. Final Remarks [top]
The last date for submission of camera-ready papers for Innovate India – Leveraging Innovation for Knowledge Economy will be 31st October 2009. Since the manuscripts will be used as received, please do not fold the pages and place the manuscript in a hard cover when mailing it.

Only the title directly connected to the paper topic should be given. At the end of the paper the literature can be given as follows.
